Ken Miller was born and raised in Winnipeg,
Canada.� He began his broadcasting career in
the late seventies by providing race results to stations
throughout the province of Manitoba.� In 1982
he became the youngest track race caller in North
America, and in 1989 received a call from a racetrack
just outside of Des Moines asking him if he'd be
interested in auditioning for the position of race
caller.
When Prairie Meadows gave up horseracing in
1991, Ken moved to Denver, where he got his
first opportunity to fill in on a small sports
talk station.� He returned to the Iowa
horse track a few years later and also helped
introduce sports talk radio to Central Iowa a
short time later.
