Rob, aka Dr. Zaius, got in a motorcycle accident early last season - a broken arm that required a rod, injured hip, etc. But there was an upside to his maladies: his fantasy team went on a five-game win streak and appeared to be untouchable heading into the home stretch. He was Robocop. So Sid grabbed a Robocop movie poster and invented Rob-ocop. (Of course, as Rob healed, his team went back to being its usual awful self. He made the playoffs but exited quietly in the first round.)
Biff has a very intense fantasy league (he had a dream where one member shot and killed 2 other members at the draft, and it didn't seem that outrageous). One member is a master at photoshop. Here are some examples, with context:
2011 NFFL Preview and Football Spectacular: Two owners got their heads photoshopped over Bernie Kosar with the Miami Hurricanes and Dan Marino with the Miami Dolphins. Think this was originally a 1984 SI cover. Anyway, this was the preview issue of our weekly online newsletter for the league last year, marking Gregg's (Marino) fifth career title, and Paul's (Kosar) first year as an owner.
The Squirrels: Somethin's Gotta Be Done: This is our current champ. He designed this cover to look like a record album, with him sitting discontentedly playing cards with his players, who had gotten him out to a horrible start. Hence, this guy's trademark phrase is, "Somethin's gotta be done."
Get Him Through The Week: Obviously a parody of Get Him To The Greek, this is a cover from last season as the defending champ (Gregg) was upset by lowly, rowdy upstart Cam. It was like Bill Belichick being beaten by an XFL coach.
Pick of the Litter: Another owner (Tony) graces the over of the update with his prize QB, Tom Brady....
The Magnificent Seven (and one): The eight playoff qualifiers of a recent season had their heads photoshopped onto a movie poster for the original Magnificent Seven. The guy laying on the ground (Tony again) eked his way in via a tiebreaker the last weekend of the season and no one thought he belonged.
