BIFF’S TAKE ON THURSDAY NIGHT:

So, the Packers DBs are jawing to Brandon Marshall and the Bears wideouts that they're going to by physical with them? Where was this attitude in Week 1 when Alex Smith was chopping them up? Jay Cutler said "good luck" to them in response, and they're likely going to need it. Green Bay opponents no longer fear its defense, and the 49ers' dominance at Lambeau last week will have the Bears coming in overflowing with confidence.

I expect a high-scoring shootout, with Aaron Rodgers getting back in sync with Nelson, Finley, Cobb, and Jones. I wouldn't start
Jennings (questionable). Ced Benson should also have a much better week, especially since the Bears gave up on him. I'd start the Packers D, too. They rolls up the points at home.

The Bears will get pass TDs - Cutler,
Marshall, Jeffery should both be started - but I've got no vibe on the Bears' run game. If you've got another ace to start besides Forte, do it. Especially with Michael Bush lurking on the sidelines as a vulture.

ANDREW’S TAKE ON THURSDAY NIGHT:

Thursday night is as much a must-win game as there can be in Week 2 for the Packers. They were outclassed at home Sunday against the 49ers, and an 0-2 start in quite possibly the best division in the NFL could prove devastating. Owners of multiple Packers should be worried that the 49ers exposed Green Bayas a one-dimensional team. They have no running game, a questionable defense, and don’t like the dink-and-dunk pass game. Take away the deep ball, and that offense comes to a screeching halt.

I’d be weary of playing many Packers. Obviously Aaron Rodgers should start, and I would start Jermichael Finley at TE, but I would look elsewhere at receiver and running back. Greg Jennings has a bad groin and that will be amplified in a short week. The only Packer receiver to score (other than Finley) was James Jones. Jones is the only Packer receiver I would consider playing because he may get some extra looks with Jennings’ questionable status.

I disagree with Biff on Cedrick Benson. He was outrushed by Rodgers, only gaining 18 yards on 9 carries. The Bears’ defense is not as good as San Francisco’s but they allowed just 63 rushing yards to the Colts, they will be amped up in Lambeau, and I don’t see Benson having a good night. I would stay away from the Packers D.

On the Chicago side, I agree with Biff that Cutler, Marshall, and Jeffery should start. The Bears’ offense looked high powered and efficient, more so than at any time in recent memory. The thing I took away from the win over the Colts is how comfortable Cutler is throwing to Marshall(9 receptions, 3 times more than any other receiver). This is not just a good sign for owners of those two players, but will open up the offense for Alshon Jeffery, Earl Bennett, and Forte out of the backfield.

I couldn’t disagree more with Biff when it comes to Forte. He did lose two potential touchdowns to Michael Bush, but will make up for those losses in the long run by catching the ball out of the backfield (had 3 receptions Sunday and Cutler was looking for a wide-open Forte on the early pick-six). Forte looked great on the ground, and did get 1 rushing touchdown along with 80 yards. I would start him every week. I do like Chicago’s defense because they get takeaways (intercepted Andrew Luck 3 times Saturday) and Hester is always a threat to return a kick.
