HEATHER: Decorating For Christmas On Thanksgiving Is "Late" To Me

I know there is a school of thought that no Christmas decorating should be done before the day after Thanksgiving but for me, that's usually way too late. I LOVE decorating for Christmas. We have two trees in our living room. We hang stockings by the chimney with care. We don't quite go Clark Griswold with the exterior lighting, but those lights were put up and have been glowing outside for over a week. (Thanks, Prime Home Upkeep!) In other words, Christmas usually arrives at our home BEFORE we serve the turkey on Thanksgiving day,

But alas, not this year. For a variety of reasons, I just didn't get around to it. But, as the trees went up and the lights came on...it turns out it doesn't matter. It's Christmas in our house, and it will be until New Year's Day. Or maybe a few days later, since I was "late" decorating this time around.

So for anyone who had the tree up and lights going *before* Thanksgiving, I say "Good for you!" Decorate for Christmas when you want to! It's the most wonderful time of year!

Happy Holidays!

Heather
